Governor Mark Sanford Signs Proclamation

On September 23rd Gov. Mark Sandford signed a proclamation proclaiming September as Square dance month in South Carolina. At the signing were Camden Hi-steppers, Richard & Barbara Walker, and Darrell & Sylvia Sealey. After the signing we had square dancing outside in front of the state house. Ron Rutz called and we had several members from the Hi-Steppers as well as 2 or 3 other clubs were represented.

Some Dates to remember for October

We have a busy month, so we need as many Hi-Steppers as possible to help. We have class starting this month. Also October 3rd we will be dancing at the open house at Elgin Urgent Care, October 23rd dancing at the Elks club, for there fund raiser, and October 30th Federation Dance in North Charleston. Remember when we are asked to dance we are promoting square dancing and representing Camden Hi-Steppers.

October 30th Federation Dance

The last Federation dance for 2010 will be held in North Charleston, Sc. Thanks to Barbara Walker for her hard work in getting us a discount rate at the Radisson hotel. The room charge with breakfast is $83.00 or without breakfast $73.00 plus tax. There normal room charge is $112.00 plus tax. The Radisson is less than ten minutes from Park Circle.
